He snaps back, disoriented, just as Eadric points out the disturbing discovery: not just old carvings, but fresh, wet glyphs—symbols of binding and sacrifice—etched deep into the stone base of the tower, still faintly warm to the touch, indicating the ritual was completed within the last night.
